The History

Welcome! This is a page dedicated to the history of the Gordons.

It was a gloomy day in 2015 (I’m just guessing, it’s usually gloomy in the UK), when one young simmer decided to try, once again, to complete a legacy challenge. The ruins of her last failed attempt hadn’t even gone cold yet when Lori Gordon, the Chosen One, was born.

Generation One began in Moonlight Falls, the town that’s a blatant rip off of Mystic Falls from the Vampire Diaries, with Lori Gordon herself. Irresistible, dramatic, and rebellious, this cat loving natural cook started out in life with her cat, Bella. After reviewing the state of the single (and married) men in Moonlight Falls, we swiftly up and left, eventually settling in Isla Paradiso.

She married Joel Vidal, and eventually settled down with their two kids, Ella and Eli, even completing her LTW of becoming a Mystic Healer.

Admittedly, she was the person cursing most of the people she was curing, but that’s neither here nor there.

Each generation has a specific naming theme – I forgot to use any of mine for Ella, but then managed to BS my way into ‘Webseries’ as a theme for the two of them.

Ella and Eli scored even votes in the heir poll, so I decided to make them Joint Heirs, but with Ella both being my favourite and her daughter being the one to take Gen 3 heir poll, I’ve always held afterwards that she was the ‘true’ heiress.

Ella, a friendly, nurturing, artistic virtuoso with a love of gardening, married Balboa Langurd from the Dysfunkshinul Legacy, while her younger brother Eli, a walking contradiction with his bizarre collection of traits – charismatic, no sense of humour, friendly, technological whiz, genius – went to University and married Elisha someone-or-another.

Each couple had two children apiece; Ella and Boa had the oldest Brandon and youngest Lyra, while Eli and Elisha had the two middle children, Dawn and May! Yes, I used Pokemon trainers as a naming theme.

All three kids established themselves as various members of royalty over the course of their childhood, but athletic, badass little Lyra eventually stole the show and defeated the other trainers in order to become champion.

Lyra – brave, athletic, daredevil, Avant Garde, family orientated – was the most badass sim to ever grace my game.

She was a firefighter, an astronaut, a martial artist, and I believe she even had a brief stint as an adventurer.

Halfway through her generation I upgraded my PC, and spent a good few posts obsessing about how much better everyone looked.

She had three kids with a fairy called Peter, whom she eventually left after he had an emotional affair with her cousin. At least, I think she left him? If she didn’t, she definitely should’ve.

Anyway, her three kids were named Michael, Kenny, and Mia, for the Princess Diaries after the royal court fiasco when Lyra was young.

As Mia got older she snagged the most gorgeous girlfriend, Amy, and with it, the heir poll.

Mia – overly emotional, artistic, heavy sleeper, adventurous, athletic – became my first ever acrobat! She made a very cute mime, and a Sims 3 body flexibility was very creepy looking.

She and Amy settled down and had four gorgeous children; Brick, Bubbles, Blossom, and Boomer. I was four generation in with only female heirs, so picked the PowerPuff Girls as my naming theme for the next generation.

Nothing much really happened in this generation, and Bubbles aged up absolutely gorgeous and snagged a victory.

Bubbles – workaholic, bookworm, excitable, mooch, heavy sleeper – was an enthusiastic, endlessly cheerful Sim, who became a best selling author with books that had terrible Harry Potter titles. She travelled to the future, where she met Martin McFleet, who was such a blatant riff on Marty McFly (one my favourite movies!) that she had no other choice and was forced to marry him.

Fortunately for her, she fell very much in love, and the two of them raised four gorgeous kiddos; Harry, Luna, Remus, and Ginny.

Remus picked up the trait Dog Person, and so he was permitted to adopt his first pet; a dog named Sirius.

I am almost 90% convinced Sirius is the reason that Remus won the heir poll.

(I have made a point to now distance myself from HP and everything it’s author represents, considering that she seems to believe support of her work is synonymous with support of her views.)

Remus – clumsy, neurotic, loves the heat, dog person, vegetarian – was a complete mess of a person, only held together by his fantastic husband Billy Rourke, one of the spares from somebodysangel13’s excellent Rourke EPIC challenge.

Remus picked up the Animal Rescuer LTW, meaning over the course of his life he picked up a wide array of animals, including his most loyal dog Sirius, and his beautiful steed, Buckbeak.

Billy and Remus were fantastic parents who birthed and raised my favourite generation so far; a generation of pure chaos and destruction, where nothing went to plan and yet I loved every moment of it.

They had five children – Una, Tristan, Yvaine, Victoria, and Shakespeare.

Una was a disciplined, athletic genius, who strove towards physical perfection.
Tristan was a social awkward witch (the first since Lori, I might add), who was the most incompetent yet adorable fool, who wanted just to play with his wand and create potions. I swear that’s not a euphemism.
Yvaine was a brooding punk rocker with a vague 80s aesthetic, who wanted to flex her musical muscle by becoming a one sim band, and whose dialogue mostly consisted swear words and Fall Out Boy lyrics.
Victoria was an artistic party animal with a photographer’s eye.
And Shakespeare… Shakespeare was a gorgeous trashbag of a man, who stole my heart, the heir poll, and pretty much everything else he touched.

Shakespeare – daredevil, genius, computer whiz, night owl, kleptomaniac – wanted to become a Master Thief, and his generation was the first since Eli to go off to University.

And nothing, nothing, will ever top Shakespeare going streaking just after his graduation ceremony.

Twice.

My game glitched after their first graduation and I was forced to restart, and he still stripped down to his birthday suit and did laps of the area. I love him so, so much.

He married a rebel from Uni, Liz Tarry, and eventually settled down to raise their five kids; Vin, Kelsier, and triplets Lessie, Marasi, and Allrianne.

Marasi and her potential robot army cinched the win in the heir poll, and just like that we were into the last few gens!

Marasi – friendly, perceptive, rebellious, bot fan, disciplined – became a master bot builder and took frequent trips into the future to secure upgrade parts and complete quests, although she never achieved the statue of herself for getting the perfect future.

She was, in all respects, a wicked cool heiress who fell in love with and married a woman named Kara who she eventually divorced after she hit on her daughter in law. However, during Kara’s time in the legacy, she and Marasi had four gorgeous children together; Reyna, Percy, Piper, and Annabeth.

Annabeth was the biggest personality of the four children, and also the first to find a potential spouse – the absolutely beautiful Eileen. Annabeth won Eileen’s heart and the heir poll, and then we were onto the final generation!

Annabeth – artistic, loves the heat, night owl, rebellious, adventurous – became the mother to the final generation, and the first (and last) of my sims to become a seasoned traveller. She completed so many quests, and was even forced to max out a skill as part of said adventuring quest, until we almost snapped and killed a man. It was…. intense. And also in tents!

There was a lot of fun adventuring, but eventually the Generation – and legacy! – came to an end with the birth of the first of Annabeth and Eileen’s seven children; Elliott, Leah, Alex, Abigail, Haley, Emily, and Sebastian.

I continued posting up until Elliott became a YA, at which point I posted an heir poll and then abandoned the blog for two years. When I returned, I found and crowned Leah as the heir, and then swiftly moved everything over to TS4!

And well, you know the rest 😉
